If ever you are asked to check somebody’s previously expressed breastmilk to make sure it hasn’t gone off and, when you open the bottle and apply nose, it has a slightly odd smell and, when you decant it into a clean bottle and re-apply nose, it still has a slightly odd smell: do not be tempted to taste it.
